Despite reaching the grand old age of 32, Benfica's Brazilian striker Jonas had never previously turned too many heads before coming to Europe with Valencia. He'd scored 42 in one season for Gremio, but in five years, he's scored 72 in total and he failed to particularly dazzle in Spain after his Valencia move.

A subsequent move to Benfica saw an uplift in form and 31 goals in 35 appearances, before 36 in 48 last season.
