Admittedly, FIFA 17 does attempt to display uniqueness by telling players that some members of their squad are "showing great potential" or are a "leader of men". This isn't enough though, and even when EA have attempted to include player-specific skills such as 'Speedster', they rarely have much impact.
PES gets this right by introducing titles for different players. The descriptions for these bleed passion too, and that's what football enthusiasts want. They need to know that a 'Hero' (for example) will drag the team kicking and screaming to a win like his life depends on it.
Better yet, Master League dishes out nicknames gifted by fans as it progresses. This gives bonuses to your team should they pick that player, and they can be the difference between nicking a late win or settling for a 1-1 draw.
FIFA must put more focus on this individuality.
