Arguably the best thing about Chelsea's N'Golo Kanté is that he can play as a CDM, straight up CM or switch back into CB as a sweeper if first choice defenders are red carded. Keep that in mind, because his 87 defensive stat is unbelievable, and he's slyly physical as well. Check that 83 stat and weep tears of joy.
Of all the defensive midfielders in-game, Kanté is the finest, most adaptable and most likely to destroy opposition attacks before starting one of his own.
The Frenchman has flown under the radar a little recently due to Chelsea's up and down form, but don't sleep on him in FIFA 20. EA haven't dropped his ratings, and he remains the careful coach's dream. Just make sure to put someone who's even more creative in front of him.
