The most noticeable change to the game comes in the form of players physical attributes - specifically, that they feel far more like playing with the stars they're supposed to represent.

We've all been there, after spinning a journeyman fullback with Mo Salah or Raheem Sterling, you charge down the wing only to find that the defender has, somehow, managed to stay with you. In real life they'd have left him in the dust but in FIFA they manage to recover. Handy if you're playing a team much better than yours but infuriating if you're the attacking side.

Well, now the discrepancies in speed and strength feel like a big part of the game, with the faster players able to pull away and the stronger ones having a much easier time of muscling players off the ball. As such, matches between the top sides feel like they're being played at full blast, while tussles between "weaker" teams is a noticeably lower standard.
