One of the best features about FIFA 20 was the list of icons. Trying to whittle down a shortlist of which legendary players should be included in the game was always going to be difficult, but credit where credit is due, EA managed to get a good mix of players from different leagues and eras.

Another nice touch with the Icon players is creating several cards to reflect how they developed both in terms of skill and positioning throughout their careers.

However, if FIFA 21 is going to prove to be the big step forward for the franchise that fans have been hoping for, the list of Icons needs to be increased significantly.

One of the most frequently stated players in wishlists for new Icons is that of former Manchester United, Real Madrid, and England star David Beckham. Beckham had previously served as the cover star for FIFA 98: Road To The World Cup in the UK so it would be great to see him immortalised in the new title.
