FIFA 21: 10 Reasons To Be Worried

2. PES Is Getting Better And Better

Konami

Konami's game is also starting to become the go-to title for those who like their football to be more of a simulation than an arcade goal feast. In PES 2020 (that new eFootball name takes some getting used to), tactics matter more than CPU scripting, and it's totally possible to sit on a 1-0 lead for 60-70 minutes if you're solid defensively.

FIFA, meanwhile, can't resist the drama. The pitch feels smaller and more suffocating in EA's world, and it doesn't suit expansive wing play. Konami's new isometric camera angle was also a game-changer last year, and it helped the overall presentation look more in tune with TV quality than FIFA's effort.

The gameplay and look are just way more realistic.

EA has some catching up to do there, but time is short. They've got no excuses though, if only 'cause Konami managed to reinvent their own wheel within the same 12-month window. Worries that FIFA won't follow the PES lead and will stay put are entirely valid.
