5. Slower Gameplay
Slow = good.
Everything has been slowed down just a touch this year, and that'll be greeted with a hearty round of applause from PES veterans coming over to see what FIFA has been up to. Honestly, Konami lovers, turn off cursor auto-switches (then drop the game's speed down to "slow" in the menus) and you'll have a magical time.
This is as close to PES' recent simulation style as FIFA is ever likely to get. EA has never offered players so much time on the ball, and that makes picking out the perfect pass a humble joy. Matches no longer ping-pong from one end of the pitch to the other with preposterous speed. Now, build up is everything.
You're rewarded for taking your time and luring even one defender out of position for a killer pass. There's less emphasis on skill moves too. Passing is absolutely everything, and the way lofted through balls float through the air is seriously addictive.
