FTR Removed From AEW Fight Forever Game
Two of the biggest stars in the company have been removed from AEW's upcoming video game.
In a somewhat surprising move, the FTR tandem of Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler are no longer slated to be part of the upcoming AEW Fight Forever video game.
As per Fightful Select, FTR will not be included in Fight Forever.
Dax and Cash were at one point due to be available in the game, and Fightful noted how the two made it to the "model phase" of Fight Forever. For whatever reason, plans changed and FTR are now out of the release.
This report notes that Harwood and Wheeler were not happy about this when they received a call to inform them of their Fight Forever absence. Any such video game appearances usually come with a nice bonus for the talent involved, and one has to imagine that the current ROH, IWGP and AAA Tag Team Champions were likely not too impressed at missing out on this.
FTR were originally set to be a part of Fight Forever, as indicated by reaching the model phase of the game, but that's now no longer the case.
In regards to who is in this upcoming release, we've yet to be given a full roster reveal as of this writing, but the likes of Kenny Omega, CM Punk, Chris Jericho, Britt Baker, Hikaru Shida, Kris Statlander, Jade Cargill, Adam Cole, Jungle Boy and Owen Hart are known to be playable characters in Fight Forever - which is due to release before the end of the year.
