Game Publishers Of 2019: 6 Biggest Winners & 6 Biggest Losers

12. Loser: Google

2019 is the year where almost everyone threw their gauntlet down for their own game streaming service. Heck, even billion-dollar corporation Google announced they would join the party with Stadia.

It launched in November, as a console-free subscription service where you can play games in 60 FPS & 4K, on any screen in your house... sounds pretty promising, no?

Well, the launch was an outright disaster. In brief broad-strokes, there's a minuscule amount of exclusives, a light catalogue of old games, and tech that doesn't deliver.

The community is currently a ghost town, and refunds are being returned in droves.

The foundations are there for this to be a major platform, yet Google has been unable to convince anyone they should invest in it at all. The corporation has next year to turn the tide around... or write this venture off as an expensive car crash.
