God Of War: 10 Helpful Secrets You Need To Know

Think you know everything about God of War? Think again.

An absolutely massive game, God of War's quests involve travelling between various realms and environments, so it's no surprise there are plenty things hidden beneath the surface.

Despite being a generally user-friendly experience, God of War can be pretty coy about its best features. Much of the post-game content is left entirely for the player to find for themselves, which is a great move when making the game more memorable, but can result in some players missing things out entirely.

God of War isn't exactly an easy ride, either. Although the main story can be completed without much trouble, the post-game involves some of the hardest boss battles the game has to offer. Some of the puzzles and collectibles are especially difficult, which means there isn't any shame in getting some help on them. We've all been there.

If you really want to get the most out of one of the year's greatest games, then read on. Be wary of some slight spoilers though, especially if you want to discover everything the game has to offer by yourself.

10. Yggdrasil Dew Offers Permanent Upgrades

Scattered all over the Lake of Nine are big blue globs of dew. Although their effect may not be instantly clear, they actually permanently increase Kratos' stats, so they're definitely worth spending the time to find them.

The first time you see the Yggdrasil dew, the game will have pushed you in that direction purposefully to find it, which makes not picking it up almost impossible. After that though, God of War won't guide you in the direction of this great pickup, so it'll be up to you to seek it out.

Picking up the Yggdrasil dew will give a permanent upgrade to any of the six main stats in the game, which can be invaluable at the start of the journey. The boost itself isn't huge, but every little helps right?

You can only find the dew when you're in a boat, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find it.
