10. More Weapons From Brok And Sindri

With a new setting came a new weapon. The Leviathan Axe.

Replacing Kratos' old blades (temporarily), the Leviathan Axe was an instant hit with players to the series both new and old. With the ability to throw it at enemies and summon it back a la Mjolnir, Santa Monica was able to craft a deep and staisfying combat system that evolved as players progressed.

Each iteration of the previous GOW trilogy had further instalments of weapons besides the blades of chaos. The original GOW had the heavy Blade of Artemis. GOW 2 had the Spear of Destiny and GOW 3 had the Claws of Hades and the Nemean Cestus.

Given the plethora of warlike Gods in the Norse pantheon, as well as Brok and Sindri's backstory as master weapon smiths, it would be a huge blunder for Santa Monica not to introduce new smiting toys for Kratos.

While Mjolnir is probably off the table, there's no reason we shouldn't be able to wield Odin's spear (which never misses), or Freyr's Sword, which is a Vanir weapon that can fight all on its own.

The possibilities are almost endless, and players who've sunk hours into GOW's new combat system will no doubt be hungering for fresh new ways to decapitate Draugr.
