Leading business analyst group Sterne Agee has released a statement suggesting that Grand Theft Auto V won't hit stores in 2012, and will instead be released March 2013. Rockstar have yet to give any official indication of when the massively anticipated GTA V will arrive but given past releases from the company and a few claims from retailers, a release in Q4 of this year did look like it was on the cards. The launch of the GTA V trailer back in November suggested that the game was only 12 months away from release (Rockstar released the trailers for GTA IV and Red Dead Redemption almost a year almost to the day of release) but the longer time has gone by without an official statement, doubts about whether we would see the new title this year have spread. Reports from Sterne Agee suggest Rockstar would rather not challenge the Call of Duty and Assassin's Creed franchises but instead go for the late Spring release time table as it worked so well for L.A. Noire last year. Plus it is thought they want extra time to make sure the game can be as perfect as they envision.
