No it's not. Dan Houser shut down this rumour with his GameInformer interview. Dating died with Grand Theft Auto IV. It was a poor focus in San Andreas, an even more awful experience in IV, and Rockstar learned from this and kicked it out of V. Rumour mongers abound tried to convince readers that Rockstar would bring back dating and make it a pivotal part of the game. I don't know how this would be possible, seeing as how it had been implemented in previous titles. The idea of romance in Grand Theft Auto is something that does not sit well with players. Cutscene interactions feel satisfying, but dates feel time consuming and boring. I thank Rockstar for ditching it. Those are just a few of the rumours that trolls around the internet tried spreading to increase hype for Grand Theft Auto V - and while they may have worked, they turned out to be completely false.
