6. Radio Killed the Video Game Star

http://youtu.be/9XE6IftJlro The radio in the GTA series has to be one of the most iconically brilliant features in any modern video game. It€™s almost a game in and of itself; Rockstar fill the stations with so much content that you€™ll often find yourself forgetting that it€™s pre-recorded, at least in the first few hours of gameplay. You€™ll lose yourself in the epic track listings and even when you€™ve done the music to death you€™ll find a healthy helping of Rockstars€™ superior writing on WKKT Talk radio, which also showcases real calls from American citizens complaining about their country. Hilarity ensues. You ever get that feeling of isolation when you play a big single-player like GTA IV? The radio (as well as the constant chatter from companions) constantly makes you feel like you€™re connected to the real world in some way and the experience has been described by some as therapeutic. When we play GTA IV again, we€™re constantly listening to and enjoying the radio. It€™s such an innovative way to stave off boredom on long drives and for its inception Rockstar must be once again saluted.
