One of the rumours doing the rounds across the net these days is that GTA V has been delayed due to the supposed release of next generation consoles later this year, namely the PlayStation 4 and Xbox 720. One of the theories is that by releasing GTA in September, sales could take a nosedive because consumers would rather hold on to their hard-earned cash and shell out on a new console rather than purchase GTA. First of all, that's ridiculous. Given the extraordinary hype surrounding the title of late, it is difficult to imagine anyone willingly missing out on GTA so they can buy a PS4 instead, and the sum of money is grossly disproportionate, too. Is an extra £40 really going to hurt your bank balance that much (which must be quite large already if you're planning on spending £400+ on a new piece of hardware)? As Take-Two chief Strauss Zelnick recently stated:
"There is not one gamer who is going to sit out Grand Theft Auto V hoping that something down the road will be better."
