The Xbox One may only be a few days old but already it has started making waves in the gaming community, least of all because of its dubious name and design. Reports have surfaced today that GTA V, the latest in Rockstar Game's best-selling crime series, could be set for a next-gen release after all, confirming what many had suspected all along. GTA V for the Xbox One has already been spotted online from one Danish retailer, suggesting the sandbox series could feature as one of the launch titles for Microsoft's new console. The listing is still live at the time of writing, suggesting GTA V will not just be limited to current gen machines. Many gamers had previously speculated the game would appear on next generation consoles at some point, and this news would seem to confirm their suspicions. It has now been rumoured that Rockstar were set to announce GTA's presence on the PS4 and Xbox One during E3 week, but their cover now appears to have been blown. Considering all the hype surrounding Ubisoft's Watch_Dogs title, which has been tipped as a "GTA Beater" by certain analysts, it would make good sense for Rockstar to enter the fray on next generation consoles. In February, Rockstar dismissed what they called "conspiracy theories" that GTA V had been delayed until September so the developers could spend more time working on a next gen release. It would seem there may have been a touch of truth to those so called "crazy theories" after all. There is currently no news to report on either a PS4 release or a PC release, but both can be expected in the new future.
