Various memes online poke fun at the rather basic police mechanics found in previous Grand Theft Auto games. One in particular shows the police bearing down on the protagonist, before proclaiming that he has went into his safe-house, and that it's time to return to police headquarters. That may be a light-hearted example, but it's been a problem for GTA games over the years, finding that balance between realism and fun when it comes to breaking the law. On the whole, the games have managed it extremely well, and some of the best moments do come from simply causing chaos and then trying to evade the cops, but what if Rockstar were willing to play around with their own formula for GTA VI? The detection system was overhauled slightly for GTA V, meaning players had to stay out of sight a little more cleverly than before, but it was still pretty easy to exploit. In GTA VI, it'd be awesome to see a far more natural and realistic policing system. There should be a lot more crime away from the player, and wouldn't it be amazing to time your own criminal activity in conjunction with others? For example, if the gamer stumbled upon an NPC robbing a bank, it's only natural the police would be focusing on that, leaving other areas of the map more exposed.
