In the ongoing fallout of Halo: Infinite's delay, Microsoft has implemented another huge change that will hopefully make for a much better sequel whenever it eventually releases. According to a Bloomberg report, former Halo veteran Joseph Staten has been called in to work on the project.

Staten is a former Bungie employee who was instrumental in creating the original games before 343 Industries, who took over from Halo 4 onwards, came on board. He'll be working on the campaign portion only, which makes sense considering he wrote and directed the cutscenes for the original Halo trilogy.

Staten later confirmed the news himself on Twitter, and stressed his excitement to be back working on the series. How much of the campaign will be overhauled remains to be seen, but having a reliable pair of hands back on deck should make for a better and more faithful Halo experience.
