With Superman seeing out the end of Injustice trapped and ultimately powerless - his Injustice League either dead or disbanded - well be interested to see what big bad evil our heroes will have to come together to fight for the sequel. As villains go, how do you top a Man of Steel turned bad? Injustice 2 could always bring back its vengeful, angry Superman (we certainly doubt weve seen the end of this alternate Earth antihero) or there could be another bigger, badder threat on the horizon, facing the denizens of the DC Universe(s). This sequel could look to the comics for inspiration, with DCs current Futures End event being just one of many tales ripe for beat em up adaptation (killer robots, reinventing the world in their image a renegade band of heroes led by Batman Beyond attempting to stop it from ever happening) or, looking back to the classics, 'Kingdom Come' could be a great fit for this franchise. Whatever Injustice 2 decides to go with, were sure NetherRealm Studios will do so in style this is a series which kicked off with an incensed Superman punching a hole right through the Joker's chest, after all.
