22. Doctor Fate

A character for diehard fighting game fans, Dr. Fate is entirely reliant on summoning various status effects into battle, keeping his distance and capitalising towards the end of the fight.

As such, he's a very tricksy, hard to pin down combatant at the best of times, really only being considered for play by those who've mastered the rest of the game.

Simply due to this unique setup, Dr. Fate can own a match and feel good while doing it, but as surmounting his moves list can be relatively off-putting, it knocks Kent Nelson quite far down my ranking.
