Is GTA V The Most Anticipated Game Ever?

Spore

It might be hard to remember now, but the gaming world could hardly wait to get to play this Spore. It was branded, and looked as though it was going to be the ultimate in God games. Developed by Maxis, who are responsible for the ever popular Sims series, Spore promised to take our hunger for total control to new levels. We would begin from the very start of life, in the form of cells and work our way up to conquering galaxies. EA made sure to fuel this anticipate with a high marketing budget... and then the game came out. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't what we had been lead to believe-not as complex or compelling as we had hoped.

Killzone

The original Killzone was touted as the Sony's answer to Halo. At the time the Playstation 2 had nothing to rival Microsoft's killer app, so it was KIllzone's job to do so. Beautiful screen shots donned the internet and gaming magazines as excitement grew. This was going to be the game that meant there was no argument for the Xbox anymore... although it looked great, it lacked the technical mastery and polish that Bungie had put into the Halo series. As a result, Killzone failed to make it very far up the Playstation 2's top selling list. But it's okay, this is a series that is now well established as one of the FPS genre's heavy weights.
