Just Cause 3 offers the same unrestrained access to vehicles as GTA, but the incentives to use them are much smaller. One of my gripes with Just Cause 2 were its stiff driving mechanics, and '3' seems to suffer from the same problems, with the slickest sports cars proving barely more adept at handbrake turns and tackling tight corners than the game's camper vans. This makes on-road car chases fairly uninspiring affairs, as you lack that precision to squeeze in between two cars going in opposite directions, or skid into a turn with such gusto that your pursuers fail to react on time and crash into a building. Take the pursuit off-road however, and it's a whole different story, as suddenly hairline precision doesn't matter as you bounce over hills and crash through the trees. Worst-case scenario is that you fly off a cliff, which is as good a reason as any to abandon your vehicle whip out one of Just Cause 3's most welcome new features...
