3. Big Hero 6 Was The Last Chosen World
Considering the only thing we've seen of Big Hero 6 so far is concept art, it came as no surprise to find out that it was the last chosen world to appear in Kingdom Hearts 3.
This was clarified directly from Nomura, who said that the world of Big Hero 6 is progressing smoothly, but is still the earliest in development because it was the last world chosen by Disney and Square Enix to appear in Kingdom Hearts 3. The demand for the film to appear was apparently by Disney themselves, which could be due to their desire to continue the story.
Whilst Big Hero 6's inclusion is fantastic for fans of the movie, the fact that it was the most recent choice essentially guarantees that recent Disney movies like Inside Out, Zootopia and Moana will not be appearing in Kingdom Hearts 3.
This is slightly disappointing considering how fantastic each of those films was, but it doesn't mean that they can't appear in some form, such as through summons. This does narrow down the potential worlds that can appear in Kingdom Hearts 3, something which we'll hopefully hear more about in the coming months.
