Kurt Angle Revealed As WWE 2K18's Pre-Order Bonus
It's true, it's damn true...
Current Raw GM Kurt Angle jumped the gun on Twitter to reveal that he's the special pre-order bonus character for the upcoming WWE 2K18 video game.
Angle tweeted out the news before 2K Sports even had the chance to spill the beans themselves. This then caused the game's developers to hit back quickly by saying they now know what it "feels like to be hit with an Angle Slam".
Using Kurt Angle marks a departure for 2K Games in the way they've used pre-order bonus stars in the recent past. Before, names like Sting, The Ultimate Warrior and Bill Goldberg had signed exclusive deals with the video game company before then linking up with WWE and appearing on screen.
Angle is something a little different, because he is already on WWE programming as Raw's chief authority figure. Now, following hot on the heels of Seth Rollins being announced as the game's cover star, everyone will have the chance to play as Kurt and wrestle some of his dream matches before he inevitably steps back into a WWE ring.
The official WWE trailer is expected to air on the July 10 episode of Raw. WWE 2K18 will be released worldwide on October 17, 2017.
