A recurring theme on this list will be the mini dungeons that Link will have to go through before getting to the real dungeon. As hard as the Water Temple was, the mini-dungeon that leads to the Water Temple, the Ice Cavern, may be worse from an annoyance standpoint. The goal of the Ice Palace is to get the Iron Boots which will let Link sink to the bottom of bodies of water. But the Ice Palace is full of, you guessed it, ice, making Links platforming much more difficult as he slides all over the place. And theres the one room where Link has to slide all the ice blocks into place, which can get difficult if you dont pay attention to what youre doing. At the very least, the final room where you defeat the White Wolfos and collect the Iron Boots and learn the Serenade of Water has a really cool design, and makes the mini-dungeon worth it.
