Legend Of Zelda - Ranking Every Link From Worst To Best
11. Zelda II: The Adventure Of Link
Adventure of Link gave us a new perspective on Link, quite literally, by letting us see him in a 2D side scroller like Super Mario Bros or Metroid. Whether or not you believed this was a good design choice, you can’t fault Nintendo for trying something new so early on.
And speaking of early on, it would even serve as the early foundation for what would end up being the iconic Ocarina of Time, if you can believe it!
Again, we see the Peter Pan similarities when, at the very end, Link’s shadow, commonly known as “Dark Link”, serves as the final boss, much like the sequences in the eponymous Disney movie where Peter fights his own shadow, as well.
On the topic of strange encounters, this very well may be the only Link who has ever had a romantic encounter with a woman in a game that helped him restore health, offering him to come inside and “restore his life.”
Emerging fully replenished when he leaves her home, Link even got to meet another iconic character in this title, with the unforgettable introduction, “I am Error.”
