Kylo Ren (and I love the guy) is like some intergalactic try-hard Kanye West, forever proclaiming himself to be bigger than his pithy stature would otherwise dictate, and forever playing second fiddle to his own emotions.
It made him a total loose cannon, and post that Han Solo scene, one of the most unhinged and interesting in the mythology. Still, he's very easy to pigeonhole into the 'angsty teen' stereotype; which is precisely what was on TT's mind when they created a tribute bedroom to his violent side.
