Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens Game Announced - Coming In June
Said to "bridge the gap" between Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens...
website has somewhat shockingly announced the imminent arrival of Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens! The game looks cool as f*ck, obviously following the plot of the film pretty closely whilst also claiming to "bridge the gap" between Return Of The Jedi and The Force Awakens, which is pretty cool. The website has provided a slew of details including mention of playable characters such as Rey, Finn, Poe, BB-8, Kylo Ren, Han Solo and more. They've also casually announced a June release date, most likely to coincide with the film's home entertainment release. Have a read of some of the additional features in the spiel posted on the game's webpage; The real question is what kind of gap-bridging the game will do between Episodes VI and VII; is it canon? Will it be extensive (aka, worth the price of the game)? We'll just have to see closer to the time. Whatever the case, the game looks to be a lot of fun, and if you've got a thing for Lego, Star Wars or both, then I guess we all know what you're doing with May's paycheck. Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens is released on 28th June.
The Xbox "LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens also introduces Multi-Builds and Blaster Battles to the LEGO videogame universe. With Multi-Builds, use available LEGO bricks to open up new paths, then break them apart and re-build them again to open up another! And another! During Blaster Battles, use your surroundings as cover to stand against the First Order."Whilst both game modes sound fairly standard, the Blaster Battles especially could make for some good multiplayer fun. If you're still on the fence about the game having heard the bare minimum of details about it, a leaked video of the game's trailer has also weaselled its way on YouTube. Check it out below:
