While it’s been previously detailed how several new moves and manoeuvres will be available in WWE 2K22, what’s maybe more noteworthy about this short clip is that former WWE talent Lio Rush is one of those doing the mo-cap work for the release.

Rush himself has taken to Twitter to detail how “incredibly fun” his experience working on WWE 2K22 has been.

Having signed with WWE in 2017, the Man of the Hour was somewhat surprisingly released by the company in April of last year. At that point, Rush was fresh off an impressive two-month run as the NXT Cruiserweight Champion – with Lio being one of the 100+ WWE employees shockingly fired in April 2020 due to purported budget cuts made by Vince McMahon’s sports entertainment juggernaut.

Since departing WWE, Lio Rush has worked for the likes of NJPW, GCW and Court Bauer’s MLW. Rush joins the likes of Austin Aries, Jeff Cobb, Allysin Kay, Brian Cage and Scorpio Sky in being just some of the names not contracted to WWE who have worked on the company’s video games over the years.
