Richard Sherman is a fantastic, fantastic player. That's a fact, regardless of whether you like him or not. But 99 ratings need to be preserved for one or two staggering, unquestioned talents, but does he really live up to the hype he's surrounded himself in? Sherman is one of three 99-rated players in the whole game; the joint best player in the whole NFL. But he's not. While Sherman has many talents and a Super Bowl ring to back himself up, his hype has added an extra point or two to his overall rating, and should rank closer to the still-incredible Darrelle Revis.
