8. Patrick Mahomes Is The Cover Star

Rumours were flying around that Cleveland Browns' QB Baker Mayfield might get the nod as Madden 20's cover star. It wasn't to be. Mayfield will have his day, but this one belongs to Kansas City's main man Patrick Mahomes. His stand out season in 2018-2019 bagged the Chiefs star player that box art.
Some fans predicted that Madden 20 might have a different cover star across the regular, Superstar and Ultimate Superstar editions of the game. That's not the case either; Mahomes is on all three flexing that right bicep muscle that will throw some in-game, on-field bombs come release.
The NFL's MVP for 2018 is a great choice. He's a rising star of the NFL, helped guide the Chiefs to the AFC Championship game against New England and lit up showdowns against the Rams and others throughout the regular campaign. Plus, it's good to have a QB back on the box.
