3. You Can Turn The Difficulty Down At Any Time

Although it will result in a drop in XP and potentially pride, it's okay to admit Ultimate Alliance 3's tougher fights are just too much.

However, Team Ninja clearly wanted people to stick with the challenge at hand, as changing difficulty is tucked away on the game's main menu - something you'll rarely visit on a Switch.

Still, if you want to alter difficulty without starting a new save, head to the Chapter Select screen and pick the latest one. Doing this lets you set the difficulty for that chapter, but it will be kept going forward if you're still advancing through the story.
