Mass Effect: 10 Badass Shepard Moments

By Tom Butler /

8. Letting Zaeed Burn

Zaeed is a merciless bounty hunter and mercenary, who is contracted by Cerberus to aid Shepard on the mission to save mankind. Despite being a great asset when it comes to combat, Zaeed isn't the nicest person the Commander has ever recruited. Throughout the game, he's shown to have a casual attitude towards taking life and little regard for alien races. With a stubborn attitude and total disregard for collateral damage, Zaeed can be a royal pain in the ass for Shepard. Fortunately for those that don't want to put up with the troublesome mercenary, it's possible to leave the guy to burn to death in an industrial fire. Whether or not this can be considered a 'good' or 'evil' act on Shepard's part is down to your own interpretation. Either way, Shepard's decision to stick to his morals and rid the universe of this unsavoury character (regardless of how important he is to the mission) is pretty damn badass.
