Mass Effect 4: 10 Ways It Can Revolutionise The Franchise

Ways to ensure the next Mass Effect blows everyone's minds (the right way).

It's been almost three years since Mass Effect 3 concluded the story of Commander Shepard and the battle against the Reapers to the sound of controversy and fan outrage. But given the success of the series so far, absolutely no one thought for a second that Bioware and EA would lay it to rest., and whispers of a fourth title began as soon as Shepard signed off. Despite that news regarding the nature of the next entry has been fairly quiet. As of this moment very little is known about what to expect in the next Mass Effect other than it will be separating itself from the Commander Shepard storyline. This of course gives Bioware the chance to start fresh and perhaps correct some of the mistakes made in previous games. This is especially true given that the next game will be the first Mass Effect title of this new console generation. As such, certain improvements and additions are expected to be made. The Mass Effect series can't just continue offering up the same experiences over and over again. Of course the core nature of the series should continue to remain the same - change it too much and it would no longer be Mass Effect - but it has to be updated, refined, and added to in order to keep the series fresh and exciting. The first three games merely scratched the surface; there is still so much the Mass Effect franchise can do to push the envelope and deliver a spectacular sci-fi experience. Here are just some of the ways the next Mass Effect can revolutionise the franchise for this generation.
