Of all the games dropping in 2016 - Mass Effect's return is one we're all waiting on with baited breath. The ending of ME3 will forever loom over the franchise like a rage-inducing storm cloud - one that's going to take a whole lot of goodwill and positivity on the part of Bioware and EA to shift for good. Luckily, earlier in 2015 we got wind of a survey that'd been taken by testers of whatever state Andromeda was in, which gave away a whole boatload of tantalising new features such as tackling a new Prothean-like enemy called the Remnant, and more standard bullet-sponges known as the Khet. With a few more months under our collective belts, a couple of major leaks and a ton of interviews, it seems Mass Effect: Andromeda is coming along nicely. So, with the latest N7 day firmly in our collective rear-view mirror and plenty time to speculate, let's take stock of where we're at with all things Andromeda.

12. Increased Exploration With Rechargeable Jetpacks

We've known about the increased focus on exploration and resource management for a few months now (providing the initial survey was real), but a recent Youtube video gave away that we'll actually get a constantly-rechargeable jetpack to aid with climbing and traversal. Neatly, your teammates will also get access to the same tech, meaning you'll always have suitable firepower backing you up when necessary. With this, it looks like even the most potentially inconsequential parts of the debut teaser were actually hinting at what we'd be doing in the full game - so here's to the scene where our new hero lands with considerable weight on a rock, showing it will end up being the mantle animation.
