In an interview with Japanese publication Famitsu (via Sinobi), Tsunekazu Ishihara (Head of The Pokemon Company) has unveiled that new Pokemon handheld titles are already in the pipeline, hot on the heels of Pokemon Black and White Versions, the downloadable Pokedex 3D for 3DS and the Japanese release of Pokemon Rumble Blast at the end of this year. Ishihara hinted that the new titles will surprise players in the latter half of 2011 and that they may be connected to both DS and 3DS systems. Fans have speculated remakes of the Gameboy Advance classics, Pokemon Rubyand Sapphire Versions (following on from the trend of Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver), whilst a Black and White spin-off (Pokemon GreyVersion, perhaps?) is also hypothesized. Whether or not such titles will follow so closely on the heels of Black and White remains to be seen. Likelihood is the titles will be franchise spin-offs as opposed to main-series RPGs, but information is thin at present. Well update as soon as more information becomes apparent.
