It was surprising that in MK9 that fans were treated to the return of Babalities, where a defeated opponent is morphed into a toddler version of themselves. Unlike in previous installments, instead of morphing into a baby and just crying, each Babality was tailored to suit each fighter's personality with Sub-Zero wetting himself and freezing the the pool of urine before slipping on it and a baby Reptile hatching from an actual egg! This has led many fans to clamor for the return of the popular Animalities which enables the victor of a match to morph into their 'spirit animal' and viciously destroy their opponent. In previous instalments, characters have morphed into animals that included hawks, scorpions, penguins, sharks, wasps and polar bears. Given how far technology has come and how well Babalities were executed in MK9, chances are Animalities could prove to be highly memorable and entertaining if they were to return in MKX.
