Mortal Kombat 12: 10 Underrated Characters We Want To See

10. Daegon

Daegon was one of the antagonists in 2006's Mortal Kombat: Armageddon. As the child of god Argus and Delia, he was the brother of Armageddon's protagonist Taven, as well as half-brother of the purple ninja, Rain.

Though he and his brother were put to sleep for years and guarded by their respective dragons, Daegon was woken up prematurely. Because of this, he was corrupted, even enslaving his dragon and forming the Red Dragon Clan. Daegon served as the antagonist of the game's Konquest Mode where he clashed with his brother and eventually confronted him.

Despite his sibling being the main character of the game they were introduced in, Daegon was a far more compelling character. As a fallen hero, he added much to the lore of the franchise while being less bland than Taven.

While serving as the founder of the Red Dragon, he also was responsible for the death of Kenshi's wife which led to the blind swordsman and his son Takeda's quest to kill him.

While having been playable only once, Daegon actually has appeared in media post-Armageddon. He appeared as a background cameo in Mortal Kombat (2011), showed up in the Mortal Kombat X comic and had a brief appearance in Rain's ending for Mortal Kombat 11.
