Mortal Kombat X: 10 Overpowered Characters Who Need Downgrading

2. Scorpion (Inferno & Hellfire)

As is always the case, Scorpion was practically the only dude you would fight against in the first few weeks of Mortal Kombat X. The reason? He's traditionally given the most accessible and easy-to-grasp move set of the entire roster. Regardless of if you're a first-timer or veteran of the series, Scorp is always a good character to start with to learn the basics. Sadly, it's for that reason that he always ends up being categorised as a 'noob' character. That's okay though. Competent players can usually see through Scorpion's highly-telegraphed attacks and predict how and when those controlling him will strike. In Mortal Kombat X? Not so much. Teleport spam (which has practically no cooldown time) will be the first thing you have to contend with. Once you learn to counter that, prepare to be constantly held in place by Hellfire for a follow-up Get Over Here! or leg grab that plants your face firmly on the floor. Rinse and repeat.
