3. Gameplay Is Even More Realistic
Shot contention is more important than ever, as it can impact the shot quality of the best players. This may anger you at the beginning, as you might expect some great shooters to score no matter what, but with time, you'll learn to score in different ways.
The shot meter is also more sensitive and requires more effort to master. The best way to do it is to approach each player individually and practice, instead of jumping into the deep end immediately after starting the game.
The defensive game is now more important and successful too; steals and blocks are more instinctive and organic, which makes scoring harder, and hence more authentic. More often than not a player with a high-rated three point show but an overall low rating won't become the focal point of your offense.
Likewise, a player that's better at rebounding is more likely to catch the ball than a better positioned, but inferior opponent standing next to him.
