Controversy surrounded Irving throughout much of the 18/19 campaign as his frequent comments to the media poured scorn on his spell with the Boston Celtics.

A former NBA champ with the Cavaliers, Irving was expected to lead the Celtics to glory, but saw his time in Boston littered with off-court issues before he confirmed a move to the Brooklyn Nets this summer. This hasn't stopped Irving landing a high 91 rating from the powers that be at 2K though, putting him above other top performing stars such as Nikola Jokic, Rudy Gobert and Ben Simmons.

A mere two point drop for Irving comes in 2K20, and he can count himself pretty lucky to still be in the 90+ club.

Irving has all the tools and stats wise held up well last season, but it's fair to say 2K have been generous to him.
