New Xbox Console Coming In 2013?

Do we really have to wait over a year for a new XBox console?

According to a user on Reddit, called MS Nerd, the next Xbox won't be a next generation console, but a stripped down version of the current Xbox console. MSNerd responded to users questions regards the future plans of Microsoft on the Reddit thread. Previously MSNerd has used a tumblr blog to unveil upcoming Microsoft products. Picking through the responses, he states that the next gaming hardware from Microsoft will be a stripped down version of the current Xbox and will focus on providing arcade style games and Kinect applications. It will be priced competitively, along the same lines as the Apple TV. Again this will not be the next generation console people want to hear about. That will supposedly be coming later on in the year and will feature the same apps and support along with mainstream gaming experiences, with a brand new Kinect coming in around 2015. This would all suggest that before we saw a next generation Xbox we'd first get an arcade style console concentrating on downloadable games and media apps launching in late 2013. According to the source that means a new generation Xbox won't be around until late 1013 at the earliest, meaning 2014 could well be a more accurate estimation. Naturally, everything stated should be taken with a grain of salt. What do you guys think? Do these rumours have any depth to them? Is 2014 really the amount of time we'll have to wait for a new Xbox? Feel free to sound off below.
