New Zelda 3DS Game and Majora's Mask Port

A new installment coming to the 3DS, with what seems to be a new set of mechanics.

In an interview with Portuguese site My Games, Zelda producer Eiji Aonuma spoke about how Nintendo are hard at work on their next edition to the Zelda series. Aonuma states that the game being prepared for the 3DS, should not be thought of as a direct sequel to any previous Zelda DS titles. "It takes much of what has been done on previous consoles.€ So what can we expect for the next DS installment? Well the only thing we can do is take a guess as to what's to be expected. The previous DS games have been similar to those of the Gameboy and Gameboy Advance titles, where you look down at all of the action from a birds eye view and control the action from there. Of course, this was expanded on in the DS and given more 3D elements, as well as cut scenes and segments like travelling on boat/train are similar to the console. So if the next installment is more like the console versions, can we expect something like the Ocarina of Time port, where we no longer have that birds eye view? Throughout the rest of the interview, Aonuma was asked about the possible Majora's Mask port. He stated that it is something Nintendo have given great consideration, but it wasn't within their interest to release one port after another and instead would first like to release another installment for the series.
