Bethesda announced on Twitter today that update 1.4 will fix the PS3 lag issues that have plagued Skyrim since it has been released. When asked about the PS3 lag issues on Twitter, Bethesda responded "We're addressing that in the 1.4 update planned for this month,". However, no specific release date has been announced for the 1.4 update. This lag problem has been linked to memory issues that are caused by excessive save files that are causing the PS3 frame rate to chug. Some have said that turning the auto save option off has helped, while others are still experiencing frame rate issues on the PS3 no matter what they try. Hopefully this will finally fix the issue and we can move on but at this point I am in wait and see mode. Bethesda has not announced any other fixes that will be included in their next patch; but I would guess they will be announced when the release date for the patch is given. Did turning off the auto save feature reduce lag or frame rate issues for you PS3 users?
