Sega confirmed that the much beloved Sega Saturn classic NiGHTS Into Dreams is getting the official HD remake treatment. The game will be released on Xbox Live Arcade, PSN, and the PC sometime later this Autumn. A few days ago a picture surfaced that lead many to speculate that Sega was indeed working on something to do with NiGHTS Into Dreams, luckily today we have confirmation of this rumor. The game was originally released way back in 1996 and is one of Sega's most beloved games not name Sonic. People have been clamoring for more NiGHTS Into Dreams content since a remake of the franchise was released only in Japan on the PS2 back in 2008. This new remake will even include a optional mode referred to as "Saturn mode", which will allow you to play the game in its' original form. Just recently Sega also announced a HD remake for Jet Set Radio Future that is also scheduled to be released sometime this summer. No other major details about the NiGHTS Into Dreams HD remake have been announced but we should probably here more as it comes closer to actually being released. I am very happy that Sega is finally showing some love to other franchises not named Sonic. Personally I have never played NiGHTS Into Dreams, but I am old enough to remember when the original was released and I saw the game everywhere. I am looking forward to this HD remake because I would like to play the game and see what all the fuss is about. How many of you are fans of the NiGHTS Into Dreams franchise and will you be buying the HD remake?
