Nintendo Switch: 10 Painfully Obvious Ports We're STILL Waiting For

Where the F is Metroid Prime?!

All in all, it's pretty safe to say that Nintendo's ambitious venture into a "fully-mobile home console" has been a massive success.

Getting to take the likes of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Mortal Kombat 11 on the go feels like something every gamer would've only dreamed of, and while current gen ports have some technical hangups due to the system's lesser processing power, the system is capable of providing players with gameplay comparable to the competition.

And while Nintendo has done an excellent job of getting consistent ports to bolster the system's library, there are so many titles yet to make the leap to the portable console.

Whether it's exclusives from a previous generation that deserve another moment in the spotlight, or last gen games like Skyrim that would be instantly appealing thanks to newfound portability, these games would be perfect fits for the system, deepening the Switch's variety of genre options.

On the business side, it would only end up making the company more money in the long run. So Nintendo, the only question is... why aren't these already here?!

10. Monster Hunter: World

While Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate is a fine offering for gamers who want a way of playing a non-3DS version of the series, it pales in comparison to last year's Monster Hunter: World.

An impressively-accessible instalment in a series that's known for being quite overwhelming, World is a great beginning for newcomers. All of the massively-scaled strategic boss battles you could ask for and plenty of opportunities to take them on alongside other players online.

The only unfortunate component of World's release was the news that there were no plans for a Switch version. For a game so reliant on co-op, you'd think that a system renowned for its multiplayer options would be a great fit. Perhaps it was perceived technical limitations or simply the Switch's late entry into the console cycle that kept it from getting a port?

Whatever the reasoning, Capcom should seriously consider bringing this title over to Nintendo.

Surely graphics will take something of a hit (this is far from an ugly game), but if the frame rate and overall gameplay experience is maintained, players will experience the same thrills and accomplishments as those playing on other systems. Besides, imagine all the Nintendo-themed costumes and weapons.
