Many times you'll come into contact with either the Gek, Korvax or Vy'keer, get given a multiple choice question... and mess it up thanks to not knowing what's being said.

Whilst you can't prompt a repeat of whatever said question was, you can talk to these sitting characters multiple times - providing you have enough Carbon. To find some if you've ran out, look to the plants that are always peppering the office these creatures reside in.
On the space stations in particular, there's always enough to have another couple of interactions with them, so if something you've asked goes south, just try, try again.
