3. Completely Different Graphics Engine & Photo Mode

Hello Games

Twice now, Hello Games have upended No Man's Sky's graphics, first upping the frame rate and re-texturing everything, and now once again, essentially remastering the entire game.

Textures across the board have received a noticeable improvement, with grass, sand, forestation and rock formations all looking way more realistic, rather than the very slightly 'cel-shaded' look we had before.

This neatly ties into the Photo Mode that was added in a past update, as at any time - even in your ship or mid-dogfight - you can freeze time, detach the camera and get snapping.

Aesthetics have always been one of No Man's Sky's positives, and though fans have been taking pictures of various intergalactic sunsets for over a year now, you can create some outstanding images with the new engine and the Photo Mode's framing possibilities.
