Overwatch Halloween Terror 2018: Ranking Every Skin

9. Doomfist - Swamp Monster

How did a Halloween costume make him less scary? It’s not that this is even a good idea badly executed; it’s a bad idea altogether.

Doomfish, as Overwatch fans quickly named this one, is a legendary costume but it’s pretty far below legendary par. It’s propping this list up beneath the three epic skins too. Would it work without the huge arm? Possibly, but then that’s a huge part of his character. They could have given him a gross, infected, boil ridden limb, or even gone the Big Daddy route. They’ve done a character tribute elsewhere in Halloween Terror, and it’s much better than this.

It isn’t his worst skin, not when you consider a lot of his rare ones are mere palette swaps. But looking at his back catalogue, other than his Formal (and maybe his Talon) skin, you see a distinct lack of personality.

Overwatch’s lack of story has never been a huge concern for the fanbase. Characters like Tracer, Mercy and Reaper have enough personality to carry what little story the game implies. With Doomfist though, you sometimes get the idea the game doesn’t know exactly what to make of him.
