The 2013/14 season will go down as one of the most exciting in football history: Real Madrid won their tenth European trophy, Manchester United had their worst finish to a Premier League campaign since its inception and Germany succeeded where no other European team had before - winning a World Cup on South American soil. Fans have been spoiled and inevitably await the new season with baited breath, as the long slow weeks of competitive inactivity tick on towards the August kick-off. As ever, PES 2015 aims to capitalize on that excitement and finally deliver a worthy competitor to EA Sports juggernaut football sim series; FIFA. Using the foundations laid by its predecessor and with the power of Konami's amazing new Fox Engine behind it, anticipation for the possible return of the king is growing. PES and FIFA could not be any more different. Looking beneath the noticeable aesthetics and different nuances of the game, most importantly both titles boast a game based on wholly unique football philosophies and direct comparison is somewhat wrong. EA Sports have concentrated on perfecting attacking football with end to end play and an onus on using star players to your advantage while PES rewards patient build up play with an emphasis on a passing game and counter attacking moments of magic using the whole team. Two series; two different philosophies. Throughout the history of football, great rivalries have spawned from different ideologies when playing the beautiful game and PES and FIFA incorporate their creed into every aspect of their games. The most noticeable indication of this lies in the ratings system both games employ. With FIFA priding itself on its stellar ratings system, Konami have finally decided to overhaul their model and offer more comprehensive ratings. While opinions might differ on the final rankings of their top stars, the names should all remain the same. With that in mind, here are our predictions for the Top 15 PES 2015 Players.
